Join Our Team as a Radio Test and Evaluation Engineer – Senior at G2 Software Systems!
G2 Software Systems, Inc. (G2SS) is looking for a self-directed and motivated Radio Test and Evaluation Engineer – Senior in support of a DoD program. If you have experience with Software Defined Radios (SDR), satellite and radio communication, and formal system/software testing, this role is for you! The ideal candidate will have eleven (11) or more years of DoD Testing experience.

As a Radio Test and Evaluation Engineer – Senior at G2SS, you will engage in comprehensive testing of radio and waveform technologies essential for national defense. Your role will have you working with SDRs, contributing to the effectiveness of military communications, and ensuring that the system meets all required specifications.
Your Role and Responsibilities:
- Support test engineering planning, preparation, and execution for Integrated Waveform Control System (IWCS) software.
- Work with software defined radios (SDR) and understand UHF SATCOM network management products interfacing with radios such as DMR, RT-1828, PRC-117G, or ARC-210.
- Generate test plans, execute tests, and generate test reports in support of the software release cycle.
- Conduct system/software testing with radios integrated into specific scenarios and configurations.
- Script software test sequences where applicable.
- Record and analyze test results, documenting them in system test reports.
- Analyze system and software changes to ensure proper regression testing is conducted before software release.
- Prepare detailed test reports and communicate findings and resolutions to leadership.
What You’ll Need:
- Bachelor of Science degree from an accredited four-year college or university in a related engineering or science discipline.
- S. Citizenship is required, along with the ability to obtain and maintain a Secret clearance.
- Minimum of five (5) years of experience in test engineering related to IWCS software.
- Minimum of eleven (11) or more years of experience in DoD Testing.
- Experience working with SDRs and knowledge of UHF SATCOM network management interfaces.
- Proficiency in written and verbal English communication for test design and report generation.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Advanced experience with scripting software test sequences and reporting.
Physical Requirements:
- Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
- Must be able to lift 15 pounds at times.
- Must be able to navigate each department at the assigned facility.
Location:
This is a full-time hybrid position based in San Diego, CA. You’ll enjoy the flexibility of working from home while also engaging with the team in person at the client office as needed based on workload. Travel <10%.
Compensation and Benefits:
The compensation range for this position in California is $190,000/year to $210,000/year, depending on your expertise, market location conditions, and government contract specifics.
