Full job description
SATCOM PROGRAM ANALYST
The SATCOM Program Analyst will provide a variety of analytical support functions supporting a DoD Customer and their Stakeholders. They will provide recommendations of best practices and procedures for successful project management as well as have the ability to plan, analyze, and evaluate the effectiveness for multiple projects of varying type, size, duration, and complexity.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Provide general, holistic project management support for the DoD customer to include providing recommendations to program leadership to ensure the effective operations for various project tasks.
- Coordinate/monitor the execution of funding in support of assigned projects IAW PEO/DA/DOD and other Federal Regulations.
- Monitor and report performance against plans to ensure that contractual, cost, and schedule objectives are met.
- Lead program review sessions and other customer driven meetings to discuss cost, schedule, and technical performance.
- Establish project milestones and monitoring adherence to master plans and schedulers.
- Assist in the formulation and definition of project scope and plans and facilitate team to identify solution options, feasibility, and determine best viable options.
- Participate in improving internal and external processes to increase efficiencies and resolve problems; develop procedures to solve complex problems.
- Proactively oversee the day-to-day needs and maintenance of projects. Includes ensuring deliverables are completed and submitted; tracking the status of Work Breakdown Structure(WBS) packets; data calls are responded to; Project Workbooks are updated and milestones are tracked; and other project tasks are completed as needed.
- Provide Project Cost/Benefit (and other financial) analysis, Project feasibility assessments, and Project metrics as necessary
- Prepare reports, develop/maintain presentations, and review technical documentation as needed.
- Analyze business and user needs and consistently communicate during critical projects.
- Interact regularly with customers and other industry representatives to ensure conformance with customer requirements.
- Participate in routine Integrated Project Team (IPT) teleconferences and financial reviews as required.
QUALIFICATIONS
- Bachelor’s Degree in Business Management or related field with 5 years of experience
- Experience or background in military and commercial SATCOM and communications systems.
- Experience successfully utilizing and executing project management methodologies, best practices and processes.
- Experience working with Microsoft Suite projects, specifically Microsoft Project.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skill
- Must be able to work independently.
- Ability to demonstrate skill and ability to analyze and develop innovative solutions to problems.
SECURITY CLEARANCE
- Active DoD Secret clearance required
TRAVEL
- 10-20% Travel
